The Project Management Institute (PMI), with almost 215,000 members in over 150 countries, is the world's foremost advocate for the project management profession. Fundamental to the advancement of the profession, PMI is comprised of 247 chartered chapters worldwide, has almost 180,000 certified PMPs. PMI sets industry standards, conducts research and provides education, certification and professional exchange opportunities designed to strengthen and further establish the profession.

The PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is the industry's foremost credential and is a benchmark for many of the world's largest corporations for advancement and employment. PMP status is awarded on successful application and passing an exam based on the PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), which consists of nine key knowledge areas.

Associate's Certificate in Project Management This introductory certification requires participants to pass 3 courses over a period of 2 years Master's Certificate in Project Management This certificate recognises professionals who have attained the knowledge and experience to oversee all aspects of project management, including initiation, scheduling, quality, procurement and communications issues. It requires participants to pass 7 courses over 4 years. Master's Certificate in IT Project Management Focusing on the unique aspects of IT project management - this certification requires participants to pass 7 courses over 4 years and is an ideal way to prepare for the PMP Certification from PMI. Advanced Master's Certificate in Project Management ESI created the Advanced Master's Certificate in Project Management for professionals who have a strong background in the field, yet want to expand their knowledge and skills by focusing on today's higher-level, strategic project management issues. To obtain this certificate, you must successfully complete 5 courses in 4 years. The Professional Certificate in Business Analysis This certificate recognises professionals who have mastered the distinct skills and competencies needed to determine project or system requirements, control scope and manage these requirements throughout the development life cycle. This certification requires participants to pass 5 courses over 4 years.
